Pike Brothers 1937 Roamer Shirt – Red Check Flannel

A classic piece of American-inspired workwear, the Pike Brothers 1937 Roamer Shirt is based on original work shirts from the late 1930s.

Made from substantial 230 g/m² brushed cotton flannel, the shirt combines authentic vintage detailing with a comfortable regular fit. The red and black checked fabric gives it the unmistakable look of traditional outdoor and work clothing.

One of its most distinctive historical details is the asymmetrical chest pocket. Known as a smoker’s pocket, this style was originally designed so that a soft cigarette packet could sit inside while allowing individual cigarettes to be removed easily. Today, it remains a great example of the functional details found in pre-war workwear.

Other period-correct details include classic cat-eye buttons, a pen pocket and traditional collar construction.
